Before we get to the reading plan for this week, I need to start by reminding you that in a couple days it’s gonna be May.
Now that that’s out of the way, if you’re new here you can find context about this study and important info in my explanatory post. Stick around to the end of this post for info on a chance to chat about the readings!
This week, the readings are below, plus a prayer request thread, an engagement suggestion thread, and a general comment thread.
Monday, April 29, Day 120: Psalms 102-104
Tuesday, April 30, Day 121: 2 Samuel 5, 1 Chronicles 11-12
Wednesday, May 1, Day 122: Psalm 133
Thursday, May 2, Day 123: Psalms 106-107
Friday, May 3, Day 124: 1 Chronicles 13-16
Saturday, May 4, Day 125: Psalm 1, 2, 15, 22-24, 47, 68
Sunday, May 5, Day 126: Psalms 89, 96, 100-101, 105, 132
Remember, the study started on a Monday, so for the ease of keeping weeks in line with TBR, the readings will continue be presented in a Monday-Sunday format, although I added an extra Sunday since we missed several days. Feel free to comment on a thread when you’re ready, even if you’re in an earlier timezone (I’m on Pacific time in California.)
You can click each day above to find the discussion thread in the comments.
Let’s chat!!
There was some discussion in the comments last week, and I am going to try out a discussion time in one of the off-weeks from God Talk. We are about a third of the way through the Bible now, or nearly two-thirds if you did the New Testament last year. Seems like a good time to talk about the scripture we’ve read so far.
The call will be at 8 ET, next Monday, May 6.
Here’s the link. Passcode will be 0 just like for God Talk.
Let me know if you think you’ll make it (casually in the comments, just so I have an idea, you don’t have to RSVP to come). I’m not opposed to using other off-weeks too, until October when we return to the New Testament with
! Speaking of—hope to see lots of you tonight to discuss The Great Divorce!Of course, we are still going to chat in the comments below too! Keep it loving, and don’t hesitate to ask tough questions. That’s what we’re doing here.
P.S.
I know there are several of us doing different reading programs right now. While I’m going to use the TBR timeline, others are welcome to discuss the OT with us, even if you’re in a different place. You can start a new comment thread under this post, or hop on another thread if you see something relevant you want to chime in with.
I’d like to come to the Zoom on Monday. I have fallen behind on the OT reading but would still like to come and discuss. I’m still doing it, my pace has just slowed a bit.
